Design Approach
PWA was entrusted with renovating Satellite Central as part of the greater $26 million improvement
to all five Satellite sites. Satellite Central is the flagship building and the largest of five Satellite Housing buildings. The building underwent extensive facade improvements, a make-over of the entrance, lobbies and common rooms as well as a seismic retrofit. All public areas, including a community
room, community kitchen, rear patio, laundry facility, and a whole floor of offices were renovated
to make the building a better functioning and more enjoyable space for the residents and staff.
